About the Event
The following schedule is only a possible itinerary and subject to review, a final schedule will depend upon numbers, people’s interests, time available and any remaining opening restrictions at sites.
Day 01 – Friday 1st October, 2021.
13.30/14.00 Meet at Imperial War Museum Duxford or at a hotel near Cambridge

Day 02 – Saturday 2nd October, 2021.
A.M.: –
Ø Horham Airfield: 95th BG in B-17s. The Red Feather Club is a faithful recreation of the wartime bar, mess and dance halls.
Ø Halesworth Airfield: 56th FG in P-47s & 489th BG in B-24s.
Ø Blythburgh Church. “The Cathedral in the Marshes”, The Legend of Black Shuck, Joe Kennedy & Operation Aphrodite/Anvil (B24)
Lunch: - Framlingham

Ø Framlingham Castle. The Most Intact Castle in East Anglia.
Ø Parham Airfield - 390th BG & British Resistance Organisation Museums.
Ø Sutton Hoo? The Anglo Saxon burial site and subject of ‘The Dig’.
Ø Wattisham Airfield: 479 FG in P-38/P-51

Day 03 – Sunday 3rd October, 2021.

Ø The Norfolk Tank Museum, Deborah II, the replica Mk IV Tank as seen on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Guy Martin’s WWI Tank’
Ø Horsham St. Faith:458th BG in B-24s. City of Norwich Aviation Museum.
Ø Thorpe Abbotts Airfield: 100th BG in B-17s
Ø Flixton Airfield: 446th BG in B-24s – Norfolk & Suffolk Air Museum.
Lunch:- Flixton/Old Buckenham

Ø Old Buckenham Airfield: 453rd BG in B-24s.
Ø Snetterton Heath Airfield: 96th BG in B-17s & Racetrack
Ø Hethel Airfield/Ketteringham Hall: 389thBG / 2nd Air Div HQ (Private)
